E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy New Indie FPS/RPG

Well it looks like E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy was just released on Steam. Its an indie title but it is a pc exclusive. Its supposed to be an FPS/RPG hybrid type game. I love Fallout 3 and Borderlands so this seems right up my ally. I'm downloading now. At $18 its worth a shot.

I am enjoying the game so far. This is definitely not some mainstream console title. The leveling system is a bit complicated which isn't really a bad thing. There seems to be quite a few ways to level your character and there are different ways to accomplish your goals. Now this game does lack the polish of a AAA title. I'll be honest I don't really care for the storyline so far, the tutorial is pretty boring, and some of the some things could stand to be explained a bit better. This is also not a sandbox title. The missions remind me more of a Dues Ex style. The gunplay is obviously fine since it is using Source.

I'll get my moneys worth out of this game.

In the chat there is one of the level designers, he's answering all sorts of questions, concerns etc.

I am happy to support this team, it's nice to see something as unique as this game surface.

If you enjoy the locales and atmosphere of Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell movies. The gameplay of Deus Ex, Dark Messiah, Neotokyo (Source mod) 2-8 player coop, seamlessly integrating your leveling up when you jump from mp to sp and vice versa. You should very well like it. Game plays smooooooooth with 4 players smile.gif

I would be willing to bet that your 5850 will pump BF3 with some decent framerates, maybe not maxed out but I bet that it'll play well. So its no real rush, imo. Now a mouse, yeah thats a must have. I hope that you find a good deal on a new one.

Post back with your thoughts on the game. smile.gif
