This computer resides in a sound recording studio (and I say that in the literal sense). I understand that you can barely, or even not at all, hear your 20db fans running at 600rpm, but that too loud for a sound recording studio.

I could upgrade the processor, but my bottleneck is with the GPU. My current rig has no room for extra gpu heat as the heatsink is the largest commercially available option and the residue heat alone pushes the northbridge to almost uncomfortably high temperatures.

10db noise levels is an extremely difficult goal, but it is not arbitrary. I'm not ignoring the 4 pages of people saying I should accept a 20db solution out of ignorance.
