Understandable when one is coming from amd and all dimms are black on the new board, but not when they are blue and black sneaky.gif

Lol, funny you should mention that. I noticed it was single channel in the bios so I fixed it. It is right now. Thanks man! +rep.

Hey Fuloran1, I see you got the board friday. Congrats! So, this board is above what you expected huh? Can't wait to get mine(z68x4g3) makes me drool.
Whats your take on this p67 to let others know?

So far rock solid. The UEFI seems to work pretty well with the mouse, no jumping and selecting random settings like I heard it sometimes did. The board looks sweet, and it has some cool features. Like, its ready for 775, 1155 and 1156 coolers, and one thing I think is really cool is that there is a clear cmos button on the io panel.

Yea, i likes that about the board also, able to use different coolers. That clear cmos button on the I/O panel will come in handy. My biostar i45 jumper is right under the gpu which makes things a pain.
So, what slots were duel channel?

The dual channel were these, lol. I also did a prime 95 run for about 9 hours on 4.5ghz/1.35v and it went well, had some issues at 1.3 so I think this may be the sweet spot, had to disable LLC.

But you have them side by side confused.gif

Question for you, why are you running them at 2T?

congrats man! I have the z68 extreme4 and I love it too. Only complaint I have is that I happened to click "Install all" on the driver disc (despite basically every review on Newegg saying not to) and it put all kinds of crap on my brand new build!doh.gif not really a problem I just had to spend a few minutes deleting it all.

anyways though I was pleasantly surprised with ASRock!

So, use custom install for a non bloat install? I read somewhere that their would be a driver issue? Can you elaborate?

You know, I'm looking, and I dont see any bloatware. Weird, maybe I screwed up in reverse. I tend to do that a lot.

Hi I am actually looking into buying this board. Now I have a question atm i have a HD6970, later this year for xmass i will probably buy another one for xfire once the new elder scrolls, SWOTR, and some other games come out.

The spec sheets confuse me, they say 2 pci-e 3.0 1 pci-e 2.0, yet you are running your card in the first slot that's branded as a pci-e 3.0 from the pics i saw. Does this mean that the first 2 pci-e 3.0 slots can act as 2.0?

srry for stupid question, just want to make sure i get this right, and this board has some awesome sex appeal to it, and since its a newer board it should have less defects eh?

pci-e 3.0 is backwards compatible with 2.0 so yes.

As far as defects go it seems like it would be the same thing as its gen "2.0" brother which had quite the following.
