nvidia surround help

Thread Starter
i am running 2 evga 560 ti ds cards in SLI, i have 3 identical 1080p monitors (acer v243h)

it all works fine if i have them as separate monitors at 1920 x 1080 each, but when i activate surround vision the max resolution is 4320 x 900 when it should be 5760 x 1080 as i have had them on eyefinity using a single 5750.

I have contacted nvidia about this but the 'support' team is hopeless, they just suggest the most obvious things which feels patronising..

just updated to the new beta drivers as a fresh install but they're no better.

p.s. in the nvidia control panel > change resolution options, 2 of my monitors display as 'HD, SD 1080p', whereas the third (which is on the bottom card) displays as PC 1920 x 1080. could this mean the monitor drivers need flashing or rolling back and re-installing, in search of a better term.

i apologise if there is an existing thread to this effect and i give thanks in advance if anyone can help me

You could use the menu on your monitors to make sure they are all set-up the same from the source, then see what your nVidia Control Panel shows you.

Surround needs all three to have the same sync polarity and refresh rate, perhaps the odd one is set on 59hz, rather than 60hz, for example.

1) Nvidia just releases driver 280.26 WHQL today. Suggest you give it a try. Hope I do not sound patronizing.

2) Go into the OSD menu of each monitor and return all settings to factory default. Turn off computer and unplug the 3 monitors from the PC and from the wall power outlet. Press and hold the 'power on' button of each monitor for 30 seconds or so. Now, reconnect everything.

So, you have two 560s and one 5750? And all monitors are plugged into the 5750?

Try plugging two monitors to the first 560 and the third to the second 560:

no no the 5750 was in my old PC, was just trying to say the monitors are fine.

I've fixed this problem now by un-installing lucid logix virtu, this is a new technology with the gigabyte z68 boards and it seemed to be conflicting with the nvidia control panel, thanks for all the suggestions guys
