Which is most probably why people cant wait to play something not based on such things and are so quick to kick COD to the curb now that their real hunger is being met elsewhere.

I'm one of those people who have been putting up with COD (first COD played online was MW2) simply because the last Battlefield game was released years and years ago.

Refreshment was needed.

The release of BC2 killed off any hankering to play COD games (which is proven by the fact that BC2 has lasted till now while MW2 and Black Ops are collected dust mite faeces) while BF3 is looking to fulfil all roles with both objective based and team death match based modes.

I would be telling lies if I were to say that I wasn't interested in seeing how MW3 plays, but in the end, its just COD.

I have learned through my two purchases of COD that I shouldn't expect anything new.

People can complain about these kinds of statements being made over and over, but until the reason these statements are so common (to the point where it is annoying people) is addressed...I dont think anyone can expect them to go away any time soon.

p.s BF3 Alpha>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>Black Ops (i.e MW2 mod)

My first bf game was bad company 2. I had to grow to the playstyle, but it really is a fun game. You have to take into account the true battlefield, and you cant just run out like you do in cod. Camping is not camping in that game.

Cod has gone downhill since cod4. Cod4 is still my favorite and ever since pc gamers have been getting boned. Ill probably buy it to play with a buddy, but bf3 definitely smashes cod.

BF3 > MW3
I've been playing Call of Duty since the start of the series and it's become incredibly bland.
I think it's time for a change, especially after the horrible experience from Black Ops' launch on PC.

I'll buy Cod if it's not the same as mw1, mw2 and BO. I just realized I haven't even finished the SP on BO yet since I got bored

Ultimate heavy weight battle, eh? Two more multiplayer-focused military shooters in a sea of multiplayer-focused military shooters.

Not to mention there'll most likely be little "battle" to speak of. Each has a large following, each will sell well and have a lively community until their respective replacements/next month's flavor release.

People are blowing this so-called rivalry way out of proportion. Call of Duty and Battlefield can/will co-exist. Go with whichever game you want and give it a rest.
