modding a normal fan to a led fan

is it possible to mod a normal cabinet fan to led fan and it should glow only when it spins

In all fairness mate I don't see it being worth the time and effort involved. Is there a specific reason you want to do this rather than buying an LED fan in the first place?

Find a 5mm bit, some 5mm LED's drill some holes glue them in and wire them up.

I agree, with the price of fans now there is no need to be modding your own. Sure there are some very expensive ones but there are also cheap ones out there. Plus putting LED's in a normal fan probably wont look so good as i assume its a normal black fan with black blades.

A05 Club up in here! But the point is any average Joe can just buy an led fan but only a true man can make one from nothing.
