Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my GF setup for my Sig Rig, what would be the best graphic card setup ATI or NVIDIA.

Best regards,

Well, it depends on the games you want to play & your budget I guess. However, you can't go wrong with either a single/sli/xfire ATI 6950 & up or Nvidia 560 Ti & up higher graphics setup. In the current generation of video cards though, ATI's 69XX series scale quite a bit better in multi-gpu setups versus Nvidia's 5XX series. However, there are some games that ATI cards do very poorly at, atleast that's what I've heard.

Edit: Upon seeing your budget, I'd say get a Single 580, one with better than reference cooling.

At this point you may just want to wait for the new AMD and Nvidia cards, they aren't too far off.

1280P? I think at that resolution you'd benefit from 2GB of vram.
