Btw, I really wouldn't overclock anything on an alienware, just because you really don't know about the oem parts in there. But A modest like 900 core overclock should be fine.

P.S. this is coming from someone who knows their pgu will operate at 1050mhz but instead goes at 1 ghz so I don't have to deal with instability.
ok , thx that was helpful

It's Alienware. Did you really expect any different?

If it's anything like my cousin's HP "Elite" PC it will have 2 x 4GB and a single GB stick.

LOL Why would they ever do that. Either use 4Gb or 6Gb. Inbetween is just plain stupid.

Oh, and to op, you sure you have 9 Gb because the standard version of win 7 only suports up to 8.

Lower your OC and try again. not all GTX 560 Ti will reach those clocks

1ghz is quite a jump. without proper cooling its just not possible.

i love how under motherboard he puts alienware.
probably paid enough to build 2 of my builds...

anyways i digress.

get Everest

it should tell u what u have. but for PSU just need to know brand and wattage. (not really important unless its extremely low)
