Good LGA 1155 motherboard??

Thread Starter
Hey guys, ive been gone for about 5 months and i have not been updated on anything. Awhile ago i wanted to get an i5 2500k and an ASRock P67 Extreme 4. My question is now, is this still a good board and a good overclocking board? Is there something new that I should be looking at? Like I said, Ive been out of the game for about 5 months and dont know anything new that has happened since then. If there is a different board, im looking for a good overall board and a great OC'ing board. Nothing crazy expensive. I aslo am looking to crossfire eventually

that or the Extreme 4 are very good. In fact, there are a lot of good 1155 motherboards.

The mobo I have in my sig is a great mid range 1155 board with SLI and good OCing properties. Its probably not a board you can hit 5ghz on but 4.5 no problem. Max ive hit is 4.7ghz on this board. Have not put any effort into getting it any higher.

no, go for the Z68 chipset. it enables a lot of features that you might use or will be using in the near future. Just got my asus P8Z68-V 2 days a go and it runs like butter!

read up on it
