[MaximumPC] China Orders Businesses Offering Wi-Fi to Install Spy Software - Page 3

I'm currently on holiday in Shanghai and everythings fine, didn't see anybody eating dogs nor were any of my rights taken away. Stop talking out of your ass guys. Not to mention how nearly every young person in China uses stuff like Proxy's / VPN's to get past internet censorship. And the police don't exactly round them up either.

Sorry guys but you can't argue oranges and apples. Spying(Datamining) is one topic and censorship is another. One may win out on one while not the other. Way to much to think about here.

Censorship for me, preventing kids from watching pr0n or taking out a bomb making website is more important.

Try accessing CP at Starbucks and chances are you'll quickly find out if there's anyone spying on that connection.

The most fundamental freedom of all is knowledge, the knowledge that you are not free. Pity not those who can see the walls, for then they can climb over it, pity those trapped in the cage of their own ignorance, for there they will be trapped for eternity.

The only difference between China and the USA is one prefers suppression and the other prefers data collection. In the end the results are somewhat the same. The collusion of both together without recourse is disturbing.

Using that which is created by others will never equal invisibility.
