[CVG] Mirror's Edge 2 uses Battlefield 3 engine: OPM strengthens rumour - Page 7

If they can make the sequal a bit longer then the original ... I'm sold

I kind of saw this coming when I was watching the alpha footage of Battlefield 3. The movements seemed so fluid and it just makes me wonder if the engine was what they were waiting for.

I only got to play a little bit of Mirror's Edge but what I played was extremely fun. I'll buy it eventually, then more than likely buy this when it comes out.

Seems likely. BF3 is using some of the vaulting stuff from Mirror's Edge - and I imagine DICE would rather showcase their incredible Frostbite 2.0 than use the Unreal engine again.

We already know how good FB2 looks in 32+ player multiplayer firefights...imagine how good it'll look when confined to a single-player game like Mirror's Edge

I've played over 50 hours of the first one, and it cost me less than a 8" pizza.

Best, value, ever.

Loved ME1. It's one of my top-10 favourite games of all time. ME2 should be good, as long as they dont make it only third person.

I hope ME2 will be available on steam because origin is not a good option for me in my present location. Right now, I am reluctant to attempt buying new EA games on steam.

I'd say there's a .000001% chance that they make it third person only - and that's only because of the 'never say never' clause

Why was Medal of Honor so bad?

DICE only did the multiplayer, and I doubt they were dedicating their best talent.

It's a very good game, I don't think you'll be disappointed. There's a few parts that are really intense (my fav was sliding down the windows of a building while a heli is shooting at you). It's quite amazing (and frustrating).
