Do PBT keycaps add to the feel (tactile or audible feedback)?? The OC keyboard guide doesn't go into how they feel.

I want to achieve a spiritual creamyness of keyboard zen.

Which begs the next question. Where do I find sellers of this PBT goodness?
Does OCN have preffered/recommended suppliers or resellers?

Tankguys also carries PBT black on black for a good price. They're supposed to get more with the next shipment.

Read an article on geekhack regarding PBTs on a MX blue keyboard; made it sound a little better.

Which do you prefer on MX blues and do you like something different on Mx browns?

If you want to achieve spiritual creamyness of keyboard zen then i recommend the Keycaps on a Realforce Topre based keyboard. Those in my opinion feel the best and I wish I could get the same quality keycaps on my filco. Its basically a PBT keycap with special printing. Also the topre switches play a part also =P

Not much experience with PBT outside of my Topre boards but it should make the typing the experience a little bit more solid depending on the thickness of the PBT keycap also.

If you are looking at custom keycaps might want to look into Doubleshot Keycaps also which are thicker and thus produce a more solid typing expereince.

Thanks, doubleshot PBTs sounds worth trying.

Ok, off to ebay and amazon...

Any recommendations for resellers?

You can find some sellers on eBay selling some, also there is signature plastics and sometimes you can find someone on GeekHack doing a groupbuy on some.

Another way is to scavenge some off a older mechanical board like a cherry.

You're not going to find PBT doubleshots.

Guy at Geekhack says that it's possible but his immediate family was his source of info. I have learned to not take technical advice from my immediate family. Just nod and say, "that's nice".

MX brown tenkeyless...
The Filcos are going for $139 + SH
The Leopolds are $109 + SH

Are the Filcos really $30 better then the Leopolds?

I would try a Ducky 1087 if it were priced competively and available in the US and passed the OCN keyboard QC requirements.

i had a chance to get the special intro price leopold for $99 from ek. with shipping and tax it came out to about $117. i even ordered it, then canceled because deep down, i knew i really wanted the filco.

i ended up with the filco which was $139, no tax + free shipping from amazon. so basically i paid $20 for the filco style, which i prefer (keycap fonts, filco badge, non rounded edge). YMMV.
