I for one don't think BD will affect 2500k prices significantly. AFAIK, it won't have a direct equivalent in BD on launch. $320 octocore with (probably) just-good per-core performance is not even the same target market as a $150 quad core with excellent per-core performance.

Stop spouting useless fanboy zombie lines.
and what about the 6 core BD ??

I got the last two open box ones in Irving TX. I was told I can return them for an even exchange when they get a new shipment early next week.

I'm running on a bottom of the barrel laptop while I wait for BD to emerge, so no. You fail.

Is there any specific way to tell whether the one you received is open box or new? I picked mine up at like 9:10 this morning (10 minutes after store opened). I'm pretty sure its new as only a few had sold before I bought mine and the sales rep and cashier said nothing about open box (nor did the receipt, etc.). Is there any way to confirm either way?

Not much to worry about if the box didn't have an orange and white sticker label on it that says it is "Open Box". Also, the Intel seal sticker should leave a tear mark on the box if it was open. You probably got a new one.

Use your eyes, dawg. Can you not see if a box is already opened or not?
