400W? Oh ... wow... that's a receiver and the 100W it puts out are more than enough for the bookshelves and sub.

I bought a table that I put next to my desk to put my computers on because I don't like crawling around on the floor every time I need to mess with a cable or take the side off.

I guess 400w is a lot
I can't put my amp past 2 of 10, it's that loud

4ish and I can hear it outside
and my amp is in my basement lol
each speaker line is 100W and I have about 800w worth of speakers
so I can't even get them as loud as they can get

I'm going to set them up as a surround sound system when I get the time

I used to have mine on the desk, but I recently moved it to the floor, in top of a wooden base and I feel my desk much more spacious which I love.

No, because I don't have a gaming rig .. in that I don't game unless an occasional match against computer chess or pinball.

The system used to sit on top of two old emachine towers that sat side by side on the floor. Old emachines serving nicely as furniture. lol.

But since I bought the huge tabletop desk from Ikea it sits atop in style right next to the tri-monitors.

Depends on which of my two homes I'm at. In Florida, I usually do because I actually have a bunch of desk space to work with. In Ohio, I don't, simply because I barely have enough for a lamp

I don't really have any reasoning as to why I opted to have my PC on the desk. I guess I did it just because it was something new
