Fan controller or not?

Thread Starter
I have a fan control setting on with Afterburner atm. If the card gets up to 70, the fan goes up to 60. I was palying DA2 earlier without vsync and the temp was at 81. Should I keep a fan controller on? Is it safe to just use auto fan?

Very safe, in fact much better than the auto settings. You should be manually setting the fan and control it on the grid.

Here is my current manual fan setting grid specs as follows:

30C-41%
40C-52%
50C-63%
60C-74%
70C-85%
80C-96%
90C-100%

I set mine on the 'curve' instead of the 'step up' graph. You can cahnge between curve and step up by double clicking the graph.

Here is a screen shot. Attachment 222271

My temps are much better than auto. Cards just don't come out with a good auto settings as they are too low. I don't reach 80C anymore since I set my own fans.

You won't hurt your card or fan. Try it out and let us know how it does after some gaming. I think your going to like the results.
