i got...

1000W PSU, OCZ Technology ZX Series ZX1000W-UN, Modular, 92% Eff', 80 PLUS Gold, SLI/CrossFire, EPS 12V, Quiet Fan, ATX

what ever that means.
i just clicked on the first one in price order that had 6 pcie cables lol. looks pretty nice though, ive always used coolermaster in the past.

hoping 1000w is good enough. if i have to take it back, there is a 1250w version available.

thinking of doing something different with the sleeving this time too. this gave me some good ideas:

You might have just saved me a lot of time and money haha. Do you think the 1250w is enough? I can't have an extrememly long psu because of the air flow issue. D:

Feels a little bit like im talking to myself here... oh well.
guess i'll remind myself i just ordered GTX 480s for tri sli and a 1250w psu biggrin.gif

i hear water blocks and chrome back plates will be popping up in a few weeks so ill be doing plenty more modding to fit the new cards, and cant wait to sleeve a new psu. smile.gif

I'm wondering if I could get away with running two 480's on my CM silent pro M 850, what ya think?

You might be okay, the only time I've blown up a psu was when I used sli 8800gtx's on a cheap 650w psu. It ran fine on an 850w but new cards might use a little more power :/
Try a psu power calculator thingy like in this link:

wow its been a while. as im hoping to run tri sli ive decided my psu needs some cables sleeved.
the pcie cables where really hard to do because they have annoying capacitors hanging out the sides so heres some pics of how ive tried to get around it.

i know its messy but i have 4 more cables to do, hopefully my practice will get better each time.

lame pics i know, this is more like a preview until ive got more of the psu done.
ill try get decent photos in daylight and with a better camera soon also.

when mdpc-x is running properly again i will be adding a few grey or dark red wires too.

also. still on the hunt for ek fc480 waterblocks so if anybody has 2 or finds any online let me know smile.gif

Looking good thumb.gif
How come you did the PSU end of the PCI-e cable shrinkless?

I'm also starting on a sleevejob when I hit MDPC-X at a time when it's open smile.gif
Excited to see more sleeve-pics!
