How come you did the PSU end of the PCI-e cable shrinkless?
I'm also starting on a sleevejob when I hit MDPC-X at a time when it's open smile.gif
Excited to see more sleeve-pics!

I did one end of each cable with out heat shrink because I only have about 30cm left lol. I originally wanted to to the while thing like that but I have to use hot glue, and it's messy and difficult to keep it looking neat.

Ahh, I see.
Both ends looks really clean to me thumb.gif

Got my order in with Nils yesterday. Can't wait to get started on my first sleevejob tongue.gif

More sleeving
sleeving around the capacitors and using hot glue when i ran out of heat shrink was a bit of a challenge. took about 1 hour per cable in the end D:

This may sound dumb but why are there capacitors at the end of the 8 pins.

its just how the ocz power supplies come im not sure why, i guess its alot safer protection from a power surge.
really wish it didn't have them because it kind of ruins the look for sleeved cables, also i cant do the 24 pin because it has 4 huge caps on the end -.-
post #200 of 235
The caps are for noise suppression. And 1000W PSU is fine for 3 480s at stock. Once you start overclocking, you will need more. I mean 1.1+V each and prime-furmark runs.
