Not going over 4.1ghz on the cpu again because of the heat and huge step in volts. the temp sensors in my case read 29-32 degrees C. In game my cpu has reached about 60 redface.gif

how do you like the new precision x?
is it better than MSI afterburner and vanilla presicion?

also...
what kind of tools do you use?
all of the stuff i have is for wood work so it's kind of a pain to mess with chassis, metal boxes...etc
i know i can rig up my circular as a grinder and my jig i have sheet metal blades, and as always, my trusty dremel....i just have nothing to help bend and shape

what do you use?

i prefered msi afterburner, especially as it came with a bench marking tool and overlay for temps and speed in games. but all gpu overclocking tools do the same thing at the end of the day.
not sure what is actually better. ive had higher overclocks before i got tri sli but its probably nothing to do with the program i used.

as for tools, i guess they are all shown nearer to the beginning of this thread but its mostly been the dremel smile.gif
i also used a jigsaw but its not great on 1mm aluminium sheet. other things came in handy like:
hack saw, power drill, rivet gun, step drill bits, tapping and threading bits.

Yeah i had to make prototypes of each panel because id make such a mess with my dremmel, after picking out the bits of aluminium dust from my eyes i looked up techniques on youtube which was very helpful lol.
Bending the drive bay panels was a nightmare. i just stuck it between two planks of wood, stood on it then very slowly bent along the scored line.

Anybody can build some decent stuff with enough enthusiasm, you don't need a factory! A laser cutting machine would be pretty handy at times though lol.

Thanks that was pretty hard to do, might have to change a few bits on the gpu blocks because just electrical tape and glue keeping it together D:

next build id really like to try the same with UV LEDs and some funky coloured liquid smile.gif

Working on a design for my front panel now, i have made a prototype piece here but the aluminium panel is far too thin.
id really like some kind of name and/or logo to have on the front of my case.
if anybody has some cool ideas or would like to design me something i would be extremely grateful smile.gif

also if anybody can link me to a place where i can get a panel laser cut or cnc machined that would be amazing,
if there is nowhere available or if its far too expensive, i guess ill have to try my hand at some delicate dremel work for a logo!

heres my prototype panel at the moment:
