i do have an ssd lol i mentioned in the last post.
heres some more pics of the leds one more block to light up.
almost finished i just need to drill some holes in the gpu block and wire up another circuit, then im done with lights for now.

isGKn.jpg

just popped em in to test, ended up shorting out an led on the first attempt :/

had to make 3 of these, really small and fiddly all made to measure.

just testing the first 2 there, i have 3 sets in parellel with 2 leds and a resistor on each, all wired to a 12v molex plug

havnt found a hiding place for the wires yet, they will probably go behind the motherboard i just need some very thin heat shrink to keep the wires together. also leaving the lights out for now until i have sorted out something for the graphics card leds.

had a few tries with different drills, the main problem is finding a perfect size and keeping the acrylic from melting.

just used my old classified motherboard block to practice drilling. hasnt gone too well but im borrowing some more drill bits which might give me a cleaner cut.

Got me some drill bits soooo.... i got my gpu block done biggrin.gif

really happy with how it looks only problem is the pc is on my desk, the gpu leds are eye level and completely blind me at an angle wha-smiley.png

that looks INSANELY nice dude
good stuff

what color scheme are you going for?
I WANT TO DO THAT IN MY CASE biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Very very nice work i love what you have done with the leds in the blocks and i love the way of powering your LED's on the graphics card, i mean what genius idea! It really makes me want to water cool mine and make it look like this!

One thing that i have to mention is, i think the LED's are just a tad to bright for me.

I will be keeping my eye on this one wink.gif

thanks, im trying to make it stand out as there are alot of tj07 builds around.
i wanted to keep colours very limited to silver and black, however the black fluid im using has a hint of dark red, looks interesting i'll get some photos up soon.

thanks, putting LEDs in the graphics card was tricky because it'll be coming in and out occasionally. i cant have it wired to the motherboard like the rest, so i thought a 12v fan cable should to the trick smile.gif
the leds dont look so bright in a lit room, especially now its full of black fluid its dulled down a lot, however the graphics card lights are horizontal and are quite annoying if you are sat eye level with the graphics card.

if anybody is thinking of using LEDs in their blocks, its pretty easy you could probably just copy the pictures i put up.
very simple circuits, only tricky bits where soldering wires and hiding the cables thumb.gif

i know what you mean about standing out
i've been working on this build: Project "not in the face" for a bit and i am a little shocked that not too many people seem interested.
i supposed once i get further there will be more peeps looking.

also, what liquid are you going to use...i'm looking for a black liquid that doesn't show up purple (red would be fine because of the color scheme ill be doing)

oh and any pics with the liquid????? i wannnaaaa seeee

Very clean and love the black and silver color scheme a lot. I noticed you don't have a hammond box covering the rectangle pcb for the power button in your case. I have like 5 different sized ones, if you want one let me know and I'll give it to you for free.

im using mayhems oil black, ran out so its mixed with a half bottle of mayhems uv oil black. when i filled it up i forgot to drain a radiator so its a little diluted with clear fluid but it still looks very dark black apart from when light shines through a tube it has a tint of very dark burgundy/red. i personally think it looks cool but you cant see through the fluid with my LEDs off.
