I'm crazy about Star Wars but I honestly don't see myself enjoying SWTOR due to awful gameplay mechanics. I don't fancy paying a monthly fee for it unless it plays very differently to what I've seen. I will probably give a trial a go, because it's Star Wars. Should I buy it, though, it would most definitely be the standard edition, probably the physical one from Play.com.

I'm pretty sure it won't be like that. Trust... more production money has probably been poured into the SW game for them to produce a total flop. Even SWG was great before they decided to meddle with it... I just say, give it a chance.

I meant that after all the hype surrounding STO, it flopped horribly. Trust me, I want nothing more than to see TOR succeed. I am a huge fan of this timeline.

I preordered the standard edition. The extra items from the digital deluxe edition look cool but I've been burned way too often in the past whenever I preorder games and it ends up flopping.

Don't get me wrong, I want TOR to be a success, but my trust is a bit wobbly at the moment.redface.gif

I went with the standard edition if the game. Although the collector editions of games always have some cool trinkets I check myself sometimes and say do I really need to plop $80 on just one game? Imo they are already going to milk you on the monthly fee, so saving the $20 is a plus.

Occasionally, I do go ahead and preorder the special edition of games, but this time around I just felt they overpriced it a teeny bit. At least through me a physical copy with a fancy case and some artwork so I feel a little better. Many people do prefer a digital copy so I can see how the digital deluxe suits them well. They get some special items, but do no need to spend a arm AND a leg to get the $150 legendary version. If this mmo is something you are really excited for go ahead and preorder the digital deluxe then because you may just be kicking yourself for not doing so when firing up the game on release day.
