What are you ambient temps? Those temps seem perfectly acceptable considering that is a massive 5GHZ OC with very high volts.

Can you run that 24/7 safely?

Just installed my h100. My prolimatech megahalems gave me small FFT temps as high as 87c(!) during 15 minute or more of testing. I had it seated correctly, but maybe a heatpipe got busted.

Nonetheless, the h100 maxed out on the highest core at 67c on small FFT. Very, very impressive. I'm never going back to air cooling.

Still though, those temps are nice. Maybe this cooler will let you hit a higher oc?
Yes, I connected into the block. The only changes were the addition of 2 more fans and using the Shark fans instead of the ones from Corsair. I didn't even think to not use the block connections. Thanks for reminding me. I'll try and dig up a pair of Y-connectors and try it again at full speed. I'll try to remember to post another pic with these fans running at full speed. I'm guessing that the temp. will drop 2 to 3 degrees further, making this switchover from air to watercooling an excellent choice instead of just an option.
Does the speed monitor plug show fan speed or the rotational speed of the pump?
I followed the installation tutorial/blog here, http://www.corsair.com/blog/installi...obsidian-800d/, but installed it in the front 2 fan areas instead of at the rear as shown in the blog. I did this so the rear fan would be clear to help exhaust any heat from my video card that the 140mm fan on the back of the case missed. I also replaced this fan and the other 140mm fans that came with this case with the 140mm Sharks I was using on the Prolimatech Genesis. The airflow through this case is now very good instead of barely mediocre with the stock Corsair fans. I don't know why Corsair decided to go cheap with all of their fans, except for a larger profit margin of course. This isn't a slur on Corsair. Besides having to make this kit affordable they also have to produce it so it can be used out of the box for everybody and they're also in the business for the profit. They can't afford to give away anything any more than any other manufacturer. Any mods you make to their kits or cases is just icing on the cake.
First I mounted the cooler with the tubes to the front, which was stupid of me, and the hoses couldn't clear the memory sticks. So, I turned it around with the hoses towards the back and it worked just fine. I already had 3 Shark fans mounted as top exhaust and just removed 2 of the fan screws from these fans and mounted the radiator with 2 of the long screws. Then I went on and replaced all the screws of the exhaust fans with the long ones (for God's sake, DO NOT forget to use the washers under these long screws! If you don't you can easily screw these into the radiator itself and ruin it.) This made for a simple, painless installation.
If you're worried about using this cooler in push/pull clearing your motherboard, then don't. In my Corsair 700D the bottom fan of this cooler is just a hair above the rubber grommets of the top wiring channels. If you don't need those top wiring channels then you can easily use fans thicker than 25mm. You could use one or two pairs of 120x38mm Delta's if you happen to already be deaf! Your neighbors down the block would complain, though. It would sound like a high speed drill running constantly.
The one thing I despise about Corsair isn't any of their products. It's their Forum. If you mention any brand of something that Corsair makes, other than a Corsair product, like me using Crucial instead of Corsair SSD's or Mushkin instead of Corsair memory, it will be completely deleted from your posts and even in your computer specifications! That is the most insecure, childish thing I have ever seen in any Forum, whatsoever. Besides limiting our Right to Free Speech it completely hampers any discussion of cross-component compatability and is just plain stupid. They also say this is normal for other manufacturer sites but fail to give any examples even though I've never seen this ridiculous type of censorship anywhere else.

My h50 pump died, so I ponied up for an h100. I can only run a push config due to room(600T), but have been very satisfied with temps thus far considering. This is with my i7 860 @4ghz and 1.33v

Not bad for push on low, my room is also only about 72F.

My ambient is between 20 and 25c depending on time of day now in august, should start drop allready next month tho.

i find the load temps acceptable also. even tho quite a lot seem to not feel comfortable with anything over 80c. as long as it's under 90, i'm not complaining tho.

i will run this 24/7. how safe it is, well time will tell
the volts are withing intel's specs, which i think is 1.52v.
also the heat 1h prime95 produces, is nowehere near my real life scenarios with only gaming and web-browsing, so i guess it should be fine.
i've also got EIST/C1E enabled.

hey @BtrGrgThnD3d

Can we get some pictures of the h100 in your NZXT Vulcan? I just picked up a Vulcan and i am very curious as to how you mounted it.

Got a problem guys.

After installing the H100, my idle temps are always at like 50-60C upon startup compared to the 30C before. After maybe 15 minutes, it would go down to 30C. Even then the temperatures are really inconsistent, they jump between 30-35 from second to second. My block is connected to the CPU_PWR header on the mobo with the smarterfan control disabled so the pump should be running at full speed. I'm PRETTY sure it's seated properly... it's centered onto the thermal paste for sure and I don't think I can screw it in any tighter without stripping the bolt. Any ideas on what's going on?

After I threw the plastic lid on my LianLi K68 (it's a plastic "fin" style design, mostly done for aesthetics) , the fans became explosively noisy. Kind of a pain in the ass, so instead of balanced, I'm keeping it on quiet. Corsair link can't come fast enough.
