Corsair H100 Pics, Review, Benchmark! - Page 43

We'll be able to apply quite a bit more pressure on the CPU now. That and the pump being 45% faster is a big reason to upgrade IMHO. The only thing left is to figure out the perfect fan for this thing. wink.gif Given the thickness of the rad I really don't see the need to run push/pull. HardOCP only saw about 1 deg. C difference running 4 fans. I'd rather have 2 good 38mm push fans over 4 of the stock fans in push/pull any day.

Yep,
Was thinking the same,
My temps are nice at my clock even under load.
But, Going to give it a shot, thumbsupsmiley.png

finally someone made a test that a lot has been waiting for. i think the h100 is doing a great job as a hybrid cooler of some sort, staying between an air cooler and a "real" wc. great job corsair thumb.gif now if the cooler will just be a little cheaper...

I think that if Corsair doubles the thickness of the rad and includes four fans for push/pull, that they will truly have an awesome product. smile.gif H200 anyone? wink.gif

then you'd be looking at a price comparable to a full water kit with a 360 rad,
I think even the H100 is close enough in price to a wc kit that they will lose some sales (I'm not getting into the argument on maintainace and such) unless the H200 was to match a wc kit in temps the market for it would be limited to those that just don't have the confidence to go for a propper water loop as the price would probably be in the £130-£150 range

I picked my H100 up for $99 AMIR from TigerDirect.

I think they can pull off an H200 for $149. Keep in mind that all this stuff is made in China now. wink.gif The extra two fans will cost them maybe $2 each (or less), and the extra thickness of the radiator will be negligible extra cost, maybe also a few dollars. They can keep the block exactly the same since it can already drive and control 4 fans.

There are many people like me who don't want to mess around with a full WC kit. Assembly then leak testing then installing, and then the maintenance required. Too much work for me! wink.gif Plus Corsair is offering a 5 year warranty now, so what's not to like? smile.gif

This is my first post here. This really looks like the place I need to be. I've not had much luck o.c. ing at all. Other than letting my bios do a auto o.c. As for this H100, getting mine on the 20th. After looking at so many pc's, I'm doing a complete tare down, painting the insides of the case black. I think this H100 will really make my pc look clean.....Then I'll start trying to o.c.....

Sounds good! Don't forget to take pics and post them and/or a build log.

Not too sure but you might want to ask CorsairGeorge about that.

EDIT: New cam came in so I can finally take some decent pics.
