Thanks for the info. I notice you have fans setup on top of your case (600T) for P/P. Did you check the temps with just push before going P/P? I was considering doing the same with 2 exterior fans for pull, but was unsure of how much actual temp difference I'd see.

As for my buddy, he was really set on the H70 before he couldn't find anymore, and he knows I paid 85$ for it a few months back. He offered 75$ so I said OK =)

Unfortunately I did not bother doing a temp check with just push before adding the pull fans. Corsair says that adding pull to a thinner rad like the H100 doesn't make much difference, maybe 1c. However, we see people adding a pull fan to the H50 all the time and they swear that it makes the H50 work better.

I have been tempted, for something to do, to do a temp chart like I did when moving to the H100 only for push and push/pull. I've also been thinking about doing it for a comparison between intake and exhaust.

So, I guess a good test would be (Intake push vs push/pull) vs (Exhaust push vs push/pull).

That would be a set of four tests, and to do the intake tests I would have to pull my nicely managed fan wires out so I could keep using the Scythe fans as pull since the Corsair fans have a better static pressure.

That would be one or two days of testing, and I'm not really sure it would be relevant for most people since my case has been modded twice and isn't the same as anyone else's case. However, I suppose the delta's would still be of interest.

Ya the H50 is a smaller but thicker rad. than the h100. When I opened the h100 I was surprised to find how thin it was.

Actually Corsair says the H100 rad is 27mm thick, and the H50 rad measures pretty close to 27mm thick, so the H50 rad is basically the same thickness as the H100.

Note, some sites on the 'net say the H50 is only 25mm thick. I measured at the tank, so the actual rad could be 25mm which would make the H50 thinner than the H100. I did not measure the H100, I am just going by Corsair's specs on their H100 page.

IMHO, they are the same thickness.

RealTempGT or CoreTemp to measure temperatures. OCCT Linpack or Intel Burn Test or Orthos to load processor.

I was going to order it as well- but can only choose GROUND SHIPPING (1-5) days? Sounds like it is being dropped shipped from Corsair?

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned in this thread already, but the H100 comes with all the necessary hardware to mount to an LGA 2011 socket (Ivy Bridge) right in the box. biggrin.gif

Just talked to newegg and the reason GROUND 1-5 Days is the only shipping option is because the product is being shipped from a 3rd party warehouse.

Well that is slightly disappointing because I live in jersey and usually get newegg deliveries next day. Oh well. As long as I get it I don't care!

CPU OC: Intel Core i7-2600k 4.73ghz 1.352v
H100: x4 AeroCool Sharks 120mm Push/Pull
Load: 55-59-57-54

Question:
Is your I7 2600K 4.73 at 1.352 overclock with hyperthreading on and all cores active? The best I could do was 1.44Vcore and when Prime95 my temps were at 78 86 86 83 at 29.4 ambient with a H20 920. Really dissapointed with the Vcore and temps. I know if I drop Hyperthreading my temps will drop 10c and I can bring my Vcore down. But if that's what I wanted I could have saved money and got the I5 2500K. Just ordered the H100 from NewEgg. I have an old Corsiar Nautilus 500 that worked great on my 1055T 4Ghz OC (55c) Prime95. Did change out the radiator a few years ago but it keeps the heat out of the case and is really quite.
