Lol, that's pretty funny. If I was you, I would ask Corsair what the voltage ranges are for the three settings, and then talk to Scythe about how fast their fans would go at those voltages. That's like asking Chevy how a Ford product would work in one of their cars.
Well, not exactly because I didnt ask how the fans that came with a different cooler would perform on theirs. I asked about an off-market product, which would be similar to car modding following your example.
I asked telling them the maximum rpm and the fan specs. The controller of the H100 does not set a voltage (it cant using only the pwm cable), but it assign a range based on the max rpm (i guess). I asked a rough value, or i could have just done a rapport (2800 vs 3000 rpm).
Lastly, if the Corsair Link would have been already out (it was advertised for september, and I have still no ETA from my retailer), I wouldnt have needed to ask the question at all, since I would be using that, and seeing the rpm in Windows.
