Which one do you guys prefer?? Cuz i see most people get brown. Is that because of the loudness?

Also what do you guys think of xarmor? Which one do you prefer to buy? Xarmor or filco majestouch-2 ninja???

Thanks!

I do not have a mechanical keyboard yet, but have my eyes set on a brown. For me, it's the desire to have (1) less noise; and (2) tactile response. The browns offer both as opposed to blacks or blues.

One more difference between browns and blues, if I understand correctly: the release point of the blues is above the activation point, meaning you have to release the key further to repress it. For the browns (and blacks) the release and activation points are the same. That helps for faster key presses while gaming.

I have no opinion of xarmor or Filco for that matter. Good luck with your new keyboard!

I went brown because I'm a gamer and blues are the only switch that have potential to actually impair your gaming.
As far as Cherry MX switches go Filco is king.

soo blue is not suitable for gaming?? hm but for typing it's faster?

It can be just fine for gaming depending on your style, if you look at the gif in the mech keyboard guide you can see why, the second part need to reset before the switch will activate again and that doesn't happen until almost the top of the switch movement so you can't double tap.

Well I own every switch type (blues, browns, reds, and clears) expect for blacks. I have tried them out in a local store and they were too stiff for my likings.

Anyways, a switch type isn't going to help you type faster nor game better. It's all just personal preference and different feelings. I have never had a problem gaming on my blues and I play a lot of different type of games. Anything from FPS to RTS to MMO. Double tapping on them is not an issue, well for me anyways..

But just to give you an idea on how the blues feel in comparison to the browns, hmm the browns are slightly lighter than the blues but not by much. The tactile bump on the bllues are much sharper. I can barely feel it on my browns. And obviously the blues provide a "click."

And yeah Filco>xarmor no questions asked lol.

blacks are usually considered best for gaming

http://www.overclock.net/keyboards/4...ard-guide.html

but it all depends on your preference. any switch is suitable for gaming/typing once you get used to it. you'll probably only be buying one mechanical keyboard at a time, so whichever switch type you choose will be the one you get used to/prefer. I like blacks and browns, but I've only tried blacks, browns and blues so what do I know about reds and clears? look at that chart, pick the one that you think will suit you best, and chances are you will grow to love it.
