Help with cooling decision - Page 2

Zalman VF1000 would most likely do a good amount of help. As far as Thermal Grease goes I would recommend using Arctic Silver 5 if you need to.

thank you +1

but is that better than the tf3 cooler?
generally speaking, you can always go better than the stock cooler. Try the one here.
It doesnt cost hardly anything so if it doesnt give you much help you're not at a loss. It has a variable speed switch to go from silent mode to standard. And it will cool your vga as well as circulate air in the case. pushes around 40cfm

Are you still using the stock CPU cooler? Those are generally garbage. Try your hand at upgrading your air cooling before getting into water cooling. WC gets expensive fast.

I was thinking about getting the 212+ at newegg for $25 free shipping, but I still wanted to know how much it would cost to get a complete WC setup. Right now with the knowledge I have it would cost around $430 on performance pcs for a rasa rx360 kit, 14 feet of primochill tubing , rx240 rad, 2xMCW80 and 5 Gelid fans. would this be a good set up?

the hyper 212 is an awesome cpu cooler for the money! youll see a HUGE difference in temps with that alone! try that and add some more fans with a high cfm to increase airflow and im willing to bet you wont be having many problems any more. this way youre looking at around 50-75 bucks all together depending on what fans you get. you shouldnt see much of a difference then between that and WC. btw how is your cable management in your case?

There are many members here who are using the RASA kit with great success
and some that are running it just as you plan to

The RX360 will fit right in the top with out mods, but to mount the 240 internally you will need to mod the case.

Have you seen the 800D club yet
