Yeah, I mean why not. You got a card that has a better cooler than the stock one, so why not go ahead and push it a bit. These cards are designed with overclocking in mind.

75/350 extra clocks... my memory doesnt clock well at all, being 2gb i suppose...

Im not too worried about e-peen though, they run BFBC2 in Surround at 45avg frames, it suits me!

I dont mean to be rude, but I just read this thread and thought id have a look at gtx 560 prices..there like £200. For that price you could get a gtx 480, which even at low clocks absolutely rips on a 560.

Why are the 500 series so expensive when there genuinely not that much better from 400 series and both have dx11 support?

I know the 400 pulls more power and heat..but couple this with a watercooled setup and your laughing!

i do not really know much about the 480, only thing is you want the newest stuff. prices of the 480's on newegg range from $285-$435, so it's a little more expensive and then add your water cooling would push you over $500.
