If you have not installed the catalyst driver, you can go ahead with this. If you did, you'll need to uninstall it, repair mesa, then install it using the steps below.

Set up your rpmfusion repos, then:

Code:
su -c' yum --enablerepo=rpmfusion-nonfree-updates-testing /
install akmod-catalyst xorg-x11-drv-catalyst xorg-x11-drv-catalyst-libs.i686'

su -c 'sed -i '/root=/s|$| nomodeset|' /boot/grub/grub.conf'

su-
cd /bootmv
initramfs-`uname -r`.img
initramfs-`uname -r`.img-original
dracut -v /boot/initramfs-`uname -r`.img `uname -r`
See this thread, leigh123 maintains those threads pretty well. http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=155503

If that doesn't work, the community mesa driver works fine.

If you need to uninstall, run the /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh and do a
Code:
yum reinstall mesa-libGL
and
Code:
yum update
to make sure everything is up to date.

The new Gnome is what you saw. I got used to it, it isn't that bad. Teaches you to use keyboard shortcuts liberally.
