i5 multiplier drops during stress testing - Page 2

I have same problems with multiplier drops under stress load - in my case it always drop to 34, tried everything i could (red tons of forums), even set the ThrottleStop 4.0, but no luck. Also found some throttling of performance - on 4,8Ghz my cpu performance tested in Intel burn test drops to performance of cpu running on lower than stock speed. Have watercooler and temperature is at 60°max. Can run the cpu on 5,4 Ghz for few hours and temperature is max 80° under strees load in IBT - the problems are very often drops in multiplier like 45 sec on full multi, then 45 sec drop to 34 - it is the same on any multipllier above 45.

The power limtis are set to max and every possbile power saving is disabled.

Do you have BD PROCHOT disabled in ThrottleStop? This allows an outside sensor to trigger CPU throttling and might be causing your throttling problem. It might also be something on your motherboard such as the power delivery circuit that can not supply your CPU with enough juice when fully loaded and fully overclocked. If you find a way to disable this throttling, you might end up damaging your motherboard so keep that in mind. Does a ThrottleStop log file show any signs of Clock Modulation throttling or are these both at 100% when the multiplier drops?

What does the ThrottleStop TPL window show?
