Which motherboard should I get?

Thread Starter
I'm almost done with my new setup selection and now I'm on the motherboard. From what I've heard the Asus Z68 V-Pro is a great board. However I'm not sure if gigabyte is better since they've been getting good reviews as well. So any opinions guys?

Gigabyte makes awesome Motherboards. It's the only motherboard my tech friend uses and he's never had the first one die on him/give him any problems. Me myself I got for the expensive stuff. I'm getting the Big Bang the second I get paid

Either would be a good option.

Any particular reason why you want the big bang?

The Marshal has been a good board 4 me. There seems to be a lot of confusion about it though. It's meant to run video cards. It has the lucid chip in it but utilizes it as a nf200 chip. You can use lucids software but not even MSI recommends that. They tested the difference between the nf200 and lucid chip. The lucid had less latency than the nf200. Basically, the lucid chip is used the same way the nf200 is used.

I seen on Newegg today that they don't carry the Marshal anymore. They only have an open box left.

Go with a P67 board unless you need a specific feature from the Z68 chipset. I've read of people having problems with the Z68, but then again there are a lot of people who have had great success with it. As far as P67 goes, the Asus P8P67 Pro is a GREAT board. Reliable, fast, every feature most people need, etc. If the Pro doesn't fit your needs, you could go with the Delux.
