First build!

Thread Starter
My parts had arrived this week and finally decided to set it up yesterday night seeing as I had time, also took some pics (Noticed I fail as a photographer and it was dark and pics weren't any good so I stopped halfway )

This was my first build ever done by me, normally it was either a pre built or everything was installed in shop. So it was quite a learning experience, considering I had some problems while installing everything (Especially the board thanks to the I/O Panel which gave me trouble).

Parts List:
CPU - i7 870
Mobo - ASUS Sabertooth 55i
Memory: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz (2x4GB)
GPU: ASUS 560Ti DirectCu II
Case: NZXT Phantom
CPU Cooler: Thermaltake Frio
PSU: OCZ ModxStream 600w (Being reused from my old build)
HD: Samsung 250GB + Hitachi 1TB (Being reused from my old build)
Mouse: Mionix Naos 3200

All the stuff:

CPU:

So small ;D

Mobo (I can OC without worries this time ):

Ram:

GPU:

Cooler:

Just had to do the comparison

PSU:

Case ( I owe this case, was big enough and came with pretty much everything I needed, I still need to get some fans for the top and front, which NZXT case fans should I get? ):

And finally I went from this:

to this:

I did the best I could regarding cable management but some cables were too short so I ended up leaving them in the middle ( Recomendations and critique are accpeted )

Looks like a fair build, but why the not sandy and .. grr ocz

You have a cut out on the base, any reason the PSU is not fan down? it would allow the mobo cable to be long enough to go behind the mobo tray

group your wires together with black zip ties. run the main power cord to the back, through the rubber grommet and plug to your mobo. arrange the sata cables better to make it more neat. for the 8-pin, is there an opening on your motherboard tray at the top? if you have one, use an extender and run the 8-pin cord to the back of the mobo.

i hope you had fun building it

Well, has to do with the difficulty to get parts here since shipping from the US costs too much for me.

EDIT: The PSU is not fan down because there is no base, so it would be against the floor, isn't that bad?

Oh the wires in the lower part? Hmm... hadn't think about that, I'll get to work after the prime finishes @4Ghz, been running stable for 4 hours now.

I dont think there is an opening at the top, will check nevertheless, now I just have to find an extender.

I can't arrange the main power cord to the back, I tried, but it's too short so it can't be done as it is.

Yeah it was fun, was suffering trying to put everything the best I could do but it was fun, I'll hope to do it again sometime soon

If thats a tiled floor then no. the tiles will be cold, If the case feet are tall enough then it should be fine. otherwise nzxt too some nice steaved extensions

Not sure if my floor is tiled, so I can't really answer but I seriously doubt they will be cold, I didn't mention it but average temperatures around here are ~30C ( Or I could be wrong and it has nothing to do whatsoever )

Edit: Actually now that I remember, the Phantom case has this:

Would that be enough spacing for the PSU?

Edit 2:

7 hours of Prime95 no errors, so I guess it's stable for now!

Edit 3: Next is to try tightening the ram a bit and after that is the gpu
