[Geek]14nm Atom faster than Phenom II X6 - Page 12

So totally unimpressive. By 2015 I will probably have a quantum Computer or nearly so a Netbook processor that beats a 5 year old desktop processor ? Erk.
I mean even today ARM PHONES CPUs are destoying 5 year olds desktop high end CPUs

Thuban and Nehalem perform pretty similarly, so if it's faster than Thuban then it's faster than Nehalem... and close enough to Sandybridge.

ok but Airmont TDP will be less than a 1W .. so achieving the same processing power as a 125W TDP X6 ... thats impressive

2015? By that time no one cares about Atom anymore. Windows 9 will already be there (if Windows will still be around), and low-power "computing devices" will be dominated by ARM based devices.

Either Intel comes up with a competitive Atom in a year, or Atom no long matters.

Proof ?

Show me any 10 year old article that says that Intel is going to produce 100 cores processors for consumers after 10 years.

What ? I'm very surprised that you compare E-350 to Phenom II X4

E-350 is slower than the old K8 based Athlon X2 in IPC

Bulldozer APU is supposed to replace Llano, not Bocat.

Ah, must have been getting confused with Llano, whoops.

And I'll be damned if AMD don't use a Bulldozer style core approach in Bobcat2.
