No video output signal from GPU.

Replaced my sig cards with powercolor 6870 planning to Crossfire.

Now some background. I've always had a P67 MB from MSI and I've noticed an issue with switching out video cards. I had a bad run of video cards and upgraded/switched out like crazy.

One thing I always had to do was use an adapter with their DVI slot to vga, boot into windows and update drivers and it'll work with no issues afterwards and I could use HDMI as an output afterwards.

I'm more than guessing it's my not uninstalling the drivers for my GTX 570. But considering I've had this happen with the 6950 -> 560 -> 570 bad run I had, I wonder if it's a bug within MSI and their P67 boards.

1. Uninstalled and sold 570
2. Replaced with 2 6870
3. Only installed one for now.
4. Boot up, no video.
5. All fans are working minus frio fans which usually start working after we've passed initial splash screen for the motherboard
6. did this-

1. No beeps from MB, haven't touched computer in 3 days so I can't remember if it does or not.
2. Removed Mem, no change. Can't test onboard video as there isn't any.
3. Cleared Bios by jumping the nodes and removing battery. Still no change. Held "cmos reset" on back panel of motherboard. Still no change.
But it obviously reset my MB settings as my motherboard PCB leds were lighting up.
4. When I power up the PC, the CPU fans, graphic card fans start. The mobo LED for CPU loading lights up. None of my USB/PS/2 keyboards/mouses respond to attempt to boot into the bios.

I've never had to go more than using a DVI adapter to see what I'm doing when changing video cards. I don't want to say my motherboard is dead as everything is working and my card is seated correctly but after a while it will crank the fans to 100% as if it were on power alone.

I'm really at a loss here, if I can just get some type of video this would make me happy and I could take it from there.

I also upgraded from a 2400 to 2500k and got an error stating "New video or CPU changed" type error. Not much of an error, but a notification of something major changed. I can't remember what as this was almost a month ago. But it When I changed the CPU I got that and had to press a sequence of buttons for it to reset. But seeing as how it isn't powering my USB/PS-2 devices I doubt I could change anything.

Any advice to avoid an RMA as much as possible would be appreciated.

EDIT: Before asking about "Posting" this MB has no speaker, so I couldn't tell you.

I've tried both slots, with no avail. I really doubt BOTH of them died at the same time.

Ok, I just realized my initial post wasn't at clear as I thought.

I had a MSI-P23 before my GD53. I had the same issue I'm currently having, IE no video from cards before having to plug in DVI>VGA adapters.

After much more testing I've done this today-

Tore down my system from scratch, exchanged power supplies (Using HX1050, went back to my Antec Earthwatts 750.) with no change.

Exchanged my Thermaltake-Fiero for stock 2500k cooler.

Even put it on cardboard.

Nothing changed. BUT I just remembered that I didn't plug in the speaker for this MB. So got 1 beep, 2 short. I don't really know what it means specifically for this MB besides that in general means it's a video error. Does that mean my card is DOA and I should go trough powercolor to replace it?

Directron has a crazy restocking fee that would cost me an additional 60 bucks just to exchange it.

What about the other 6870? You said you had 2. Can you get a signal out of it?

Why would there be a restocking fee to exchange a DOA graphics card?
