BFBC 2 keeps crashing my PC

Thread Starter
Hello everybody, I'm new on posting threads but my question is I'am having issues while playing BFBC 2. I would be like 15 min into the match when the game crashes and restarts the PC, this happen many times and is also happening while playing BF3 Trial. I have check my CPU and GPU temps with HWMonitor while playing, the max temp of the GPU would be between 60-62C's while the CPU was between 63-65C's. Every other game it plays fine, I don't know what else to do.

Thanks

You should try to keep your CPU temps below 55 C. 62 C is the safe 'limit' for a phenom chip. try getting an after market cooler or reducing that OC

How is that funny? Other than that , at 65C Phenom chips start to give out so replace the TIM or reseat the h50.

What is your CPU voltage? It sounds like you might want to reseat your cooler and use some good thermal paste if you dont have some already.

Also you might consider a push/pull configuration for your h50 if you haven't already.

GPU monitoring software such as Afterburner interfere with BC2 for some reason it was also giving me BSOD (It had to do with punk buster). Try uninstalling it and run the game and see if the problem continues to happen.

I know there is a file name you can also change to stop the BSOD if that is the problem, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

If you're using MSI Afterburner, rename the file RTCORE.sys to something else or delete it. PB is causing the crashes. If you're using any other monitoring software (gpu-z,evga precision/etc) you have to make sure they're closed before you play online.

I was having problems like this aswell, happened in all my games.

So i reseated the Heatsink with some new thermal paste and fixed it.

Temps were around 63c-67c on load then after the reseat they never go above 62C
