It all depends on the price.. It would be helpful if you gave more information.

i3-2410M or i5-2520M.

Both support Hyper Threading and Turbo Boost. The i5-2410M is clocked at 2.3 with Turbo Boost up to 2.9, the i5-2520M is clocked at 2.5 with Turbo Boost up to 3.2. Both are going to be fast, it's all up to how much you want to spend.

For multimedia and gaming you aren't going to notice the difference between either of these i5's vs the i7-2630QM except for in benchmarks. For programming it all depends what your doing. You'll likely only notice a difference while compiling or extremely heavy multi-tasking. I'd go for either one of the i5's, the i7-2630QM is going to run hotter, louder, have lower battery life, and cost more without much real world benefit. I'd go for the i5-2520M over the i5-2410M, but if the difference is any more then $50 between the two just get the i5-2410M.

For that light stuff, the i5 2520M would be best. i7 2630QM is superior to all of them but it sounds like you don't need it.
