New Laptop - Page 2

So I have a list of about 8 laptops in the running.
Can someone weigh in on the benefit of 5400 vs 7200rpm?
I assume it's just lower heat/power in exchange for slower speed, but if that's the only tradeoff I think I'd rather go with the 7200. However, if there's actually a safety issue (like since it's a laptop and will probably be moved, higher rpm means a higher chance of damaging it) here that would obviously be another question entirely.
Thoughts?

Go with the Thinkpad T420, should fit your needs nicely. Go here, create an account and sign in. Go to laptops, thinkpads, thinkpad t420, t420i and pick the i5-2410m and the 1600x900 screen, then drop the hdd from 500GB to 320GB and add to cart. Add in the coupon that it suggests when your in the cart page and the total should be $650.

I picked this E520 up for my sister yesterday. $469.99 + $9 shipping isn't bad if you can deal with the resolution.

Yeah, I think I'm leaning towards the Thinkpad, if nothing else because of the 7200 rpm. Biggest downside is definitely the resolution, but I'm not sure that will be a big deal.

FBI: The link you gave isn't working, looks like you linked me something I'd need to be signed in somewhere in order to access. Can you try another link?
