Yeah walmart has it listed as a 720p 1,000,000:1 ratio lg has it listed as a 1080p 3,000,000:1 ratio. I contacted lg again 2 other times and was told by 2 other support tech managers the tv is not 1080p but infact 720. They said it will accept a 1080p source but uses an overscan feature. Not full 1080p it goes back. They said they are going to correct their website

I can tell u this tho for a 720p tv the picture quality and colors are amazing. I set the tv in just scan which gives more picture and it looks superb over the 16:9 setting

Do u think at 32 inches lets say i took this tv back for another tv 32 inch but 1080p i will see the difference? I read u wont unlesa ur over 40 inches. This tv as is has an amazing picture. Just woried about 1080p in the future next genconsoles

Well I finally got to unboxing my new TV and here are my first impressions of this set -

- It's not 1080....it's 720p. Not an issue as it's very difficult to tell the difference with a small set.

- As others have noted, this set is supposed to have an IPS panel. I'm not sure about that. I have the set in my bedroom and it is centered on my dresser across from my bed. From that view the picture is great. When I move over to my desk next to my bed the brightness goes down. The picture does not look washed out (i.e. the colors), but the picture is brighter straight on than it is at, I'd say, about about a 35 degree angle off-center. From my experience, IPS panels are good to go to almost looking horizontally at the screen. The unit has a swivel base, so that would tell me that it doesn't have an IPS panel (why put a swivel base on a set with a panel that provides solid viewing angles?).

- The picture on this unit is very sharp. No back light bleeding detected. It makes SD content look a heck of a lot better than my old set.

- Hooked up my PS3 and there was no detected input lag.

- Lots of picture adjustments to get the picture where you want it to be. Also has a "picture wizard" that helps you calibrate the picture in case you don't have a calibration disc.

- Lots of these sets have sub-par sound. This set is not home theater quality but the sound is very good.

Overall, this set is worth the modest price I paid ($378). The only sticking point might be the drop in brightness at the off-center viewing. I'm going to keep it a few days and see if it's something I can live with and how it looks during the day with more light coming into the room.

Letme ask u this do u think at 32 inches it would be worth going to a 1080p set. The spot i have mine can only hold 32. Would it be hard to see the difference on this size?
