a budget cpu for $220 to $230 i.e. i need a decent overclocking motherboard and cpu i stay in india
post #2 of 12
2500K is around that much. Any P67 or Z68 board will overclock this CPU very well. If 2500K is too expensive for you, then go for i5-2400.

$220 US for that, not going to happen. At best you can get a bargain computer from an office store.

then atleast a decent cpu and mother for overclock
post #8 of 12
I have no idea if that would be possible in the Indian market....
In America I know you can do it, you can get up to a quad core + RAM + really good graphics card within $220-230 (depending on where you are buying).

how about a amd phenom II x4 955 BE for $120 and a asus M4A88T-M or MSI 880GM-E43 or Gigabyte GA-880gma-Ud2h which will do the work in the minimum rate
post #10 of 12
The M4A88T-M and GA-880GMA-UD2H both use quality VRM designs and are great choices. (The MSI 880GM-E43 does not).

Again if you want to overclock you should ensure the VRMs are properly cooled, but with the stock cooler both the ASUS and Gigabyte motherboards are up to the task.
