Will this work?

Thread Starter
I really want to try and watercool my pc, i've read different noob guides. They said that the pump MUST be under the reservoir. When they say under the reservoir is it completely under, or under the top of the reservoir? And what happens if the pump isn't under the reservoir?
I've made a little diagram in Photoshop, will this work? (Thumbnail)

Any answers are appreciated

Basically it just means when you fill your reservoir the water should easily flow to your pump via gravity. There's a risk of burning out your pump if you turn it on without water in it, which is reduced by following these guidelines.

What kind of pump will you be using? Also, going by the diagram, you may be able to tilt the case enough to have water flow into the pump. Maybe. You'd be better off placing the pump directly under the reservoir, though, where the secondary HDD cage is.

The res feeds the pump, therefore it is always a good idea to keep the res highes than pump, gravity helps feed the pump.

Why not get an integrated 5.25" bay pump res combo?

save yourself the trouble of finding a spot in the case for both. Just bolt on, bleed and woila.

I saw this computer and was very inspired:
http://www.million-dollar-pc.com/sys...ovatio/038.htm
I like the looks of it, especially when painted white

So the pump must be in a spot where gravity lets the fluid run into it. Gotcha.
Thank you guys for fast replies
