Different RAM size BUT same specs!!

Thread Starter
At the moment I have 4GB(2x2gb) of RAM, but that seems low when I put that
system to work. I want to upgrade but without getting rid of my existing RAM.

Here is what I have:
Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB(2x2gb) @ 1333Mhz (PC3-10600) CL-9
can I add this kit:
Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB(2x4gb) @ 1333Mhz (PC3-10600) CL-9

thanks all.

The more DIMMs you have, the larger the strain on the NB. You might need to increase some voltages.

i see, I hoped to avoid something as such, but if it's easy to adjust then i think it's a go.

Should be fine regardless of C2 or C3. C2 processors start having trouble on 4 DIMMs around 1400Mhz but 1333Mhz is fine.
Just ensure the RAM is in the correct slots to run dual channel and they will go together fine with no change in settings. It's generic RAM @ 1333 9-9-9, compatibility is to be expected.

Find a 2x4gb kit at 1600 CL8 (or 7) pull out the ones in your rig and win.
