I'd say buy a 570 used. That's what I will be doing in the coming months.

For some reason the Sapphire HD 6870 is really hitting the spot for me. Even cheaper than my budget. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102948

Single fan cards have a history of being loud and annoying

Honestly the noise from the fans won't bother me a tad bit. Considering I'll always have a headset on with the volume on blast lol. I mean it can't be any worse than what I have atm. I have a Nvidia 9500GT but the fan went out on it. So I took the side of my case off and I have a big fan blowing on it to keep it decent. Trust me, can't be any more annoying than that

My main thing is. September is when all of this is getting purchased. Thats when I get my sum of money to purchase everything on the list. =] I'm constantly looking every other day to check for new items or even better than what I have currently in my cart. I think I'm set with the Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 6870 (for now) I'm sure I will change my mind, knowing I still have 100 dollars on my budget basically. A 2gb GPU would be really nice, but I think it could be overkill atm?

Great card I've got one. But you should get 2. Runs cool.

There is a 2.5GB 570 EVGA card, but without a coupon or something, it is quite expensive for what it is. I've never had exp with an AMD card since those old Radeon pro's, but a 6870 with non ref cooling would prob be just what you need.
