Decent build for about $600?

*updated*

I'm Planning on building my own rig soon... and my budget is about $600 (I've already broke it, but I can go over.) I am intending this to be for gaming, and would like some assistance/advice (be harsh) on what i have decided to go for.

CASE- Cooler Master Elite 310
LINK- http://www.xoxide.com/coolermaster-e...blackblue.html

MoBo- ASUS P8Z68-V LGA DELUXE
LINK- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...G-_-13-157-250

CPU- i5-2500K (will be overclocking)
LINK- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115072

GPU- N/A i5 onboard graphics. (don't hate me) It makes me want to cry too, but I want a high end graphics card, and just cant afford it at the time. I will add one (looking at a gtx570) in the coming months.

RAM- G.SKILL Sniper
LINK- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...M-_-22-148-697

HARD DRIVE- Seagate Barracuda 250 (will just keep adding in raid 0 as needed)
LINK- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ate-_-22148699

POWER SUPPLY- Antec High Current Gamer Series

Would this be more reliable than the coolermaster?

I say go for it! A good PSU will be needed for graphics later. If you can pull off getting a good one now, you'll never have to worry about it. I didn't upgrade my PSU when I went to Sandy bridge and 2 weeks later I ended up buying one anyways. Should of just ordered it and ate the cost right away.

Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, OCZ, PC power and cooling... (no order) All good brands. Some people like TT and others don't, I'd go with a Antec TruPower perhaps a 550w. it will be good for ya, they are very strong.

i'd see if you could squeeze and extra couple for a gpu to keep you going till you get a decent one, newegg have a gt430 going for $24 after rebate, which is half decent and will play most games at the time being, and then selling it and putting the money towards something a little better later on, you'd appreciate it, as the hd3000 graphics is really grim at 3D.

He can still use the machine without a discreet card. His plan to hold is not half bad. Beef up what he can now without spending a dime on video. Then he can buy whatever card he wants and not worry about needing anything.

That card for $24 is cheap lol. No one would prolly buy that used unless they were in a real pinch I guess.. It's all up to you bud, you're on the right track I think!

Check this PSU out if you want. I like it more and more. Antec has never done me wrong. I'll build about 10 systems a month usually and 90% use Antecs. Got over 10 years in doing this and had only one pop and that was 6-7 years ago

Thanks, I'm hoping by the time I've everything else bought and assembled I could be able to afford a high end card, but this one would serve as a decent placeholder.

I will get the kingston hyper x for $5 cheaper ( same specs)
And go with a smaller hdd (the 320gb seagate) its just $35 and add another later for raid 0
Then the remaining $$ to choose a higher psu (750w) from a good brand like corsair.
If you can add $130 to your budget check the Galaxy gtx 465; very good for the price and a pair of these will outperform a gtx 580
