Can it stand 1080p display?

Build would be

The GT540m is a pretty good GPU (even for gaming). I would say it's an overkill for 1080p.

It will handle 1080p No problem..
I wouldnt recommend playing extremely GPU intensive games on it, but for older games and an HTPC, it would do just fine.

Here's some info and benchmarks on the GT 540M:

Just click "Show Comparison Chart" under neath each of the benchmarks or scroll down about half way down the page and you can see how it does in games compares to other cards.

1080p games should be fine on high settings in most games, medium in newer, more intensive games.
