Some advice needed before doing stupid stuff

Thread Starter
Thing is, I need to get the plug part of my psu in the back of my case.
It has to do with my case mod. Is it ok to take the components that are attached to the ac plugs PCB outside of the PSU, put them on the case backside, then extend the wire back to the main PSU PCB? This wire would be about 30cm long and about 15cm away from the motherboard or any other components. The plug's small pcb has some capacitors on it (I think, check it out on the jonnyguru review of the TP-650)

Will this cause noise or something else that I don't want?

Maybe you need something like this:

You may be able to find this elsewhere as this was my finding after a quick search.
