Yep, that's right. That puts your 580s around the same performance drop as the 470s, but still slightly behind the 480/570 results thus far.

I'm not entirely sure what to make of that. As close as the results are, it could simply be deviations in the margin of error.

Here's my results. OC'ed and flashed from a 465 @ 800/1600/1703 @ 987mV. Latest non-beta drivers.
I used these settings:
  • Render:direct3d11
  • Mode:1280x1024 4xAA fullscreen
  • Shaders:high
  • Textures:high
  • Filter:trilinear
  • Anisotropy:4x
  • Occlusion:enabled
  • Refraction:enabled
  • Volumetric:enabled
  • Tessellation: extreme /disabled

1ST is with Extreme, 2ND disabled.

So that's a 39.8%/~40% loss if I did the math right...but that doesn't seem right.

I hope I did it right, my max res is 1280x1024 so my results may be invalid.
I just ran the test again over Teamviewer, and now I'm getting a 38% loss. I'm not sure why the loss would increase so much, or if its just a fluke. I'll run some more tests and figure out an average when I get home.

Make sure you guys are letting it loop at least once either on its own or via pressing enter for both runs.

Correct, the first run is always about 5% lower, so you should let it run twice on both sets of settings, and get the results of the second run for each set.

Secondly, Booty if you want 590 results, let me know

I could do SLI enabled and SLI disabled.

I did that for some of my runs, while for others I didn't, as I didn't know that it had an impact. I'll rerun all of my tests and see if the results are closer to the expected.

Tested again letting it run through once before benching at each setting
Almost identical to my other runs!

Sure, why not.

590s have full fledged GF110 GPUs right (16 tess units each)? Just downclocked?
From what I see from these benchmarks. The new 500 series is far superior in performance compared to the old 400 series. especially 570 & 580.
Also I am wondering does this reflect real world performance in all other applications?
