Absolutely baffled: Which is the stock vcore?

Thread Starter
I recently built my 2600k + z68x-ud3-b3 machine and have been trying to determine the stock voltage to base my overclocking off of. Problem is, depending on which program I run to full load and/or which monitoring software I'm using to see the voltages, I get different numbers across the board. See Exhibit 1: IBT + Stock optmized bios settings + 38 turbo ratio.

VDIT in coretemp says 1.33 v
Realtemp VDIT is 1.31 v
EasyTune6 1.236 v
Gigabyte Touchbios 1.24 v
***How is this even possible?*** What is my stock voltage?

Exhibit 2: Prime95 + Stock optimized bios settings + 38 turbo ratio.

The VDIT of realtemp and coretemp match to 1.31 v but Easytune and the bios show otherwise. Why is prime95 voltages lower than IBT????

Exhibit 3: My Bios screenshots

All I want to do is overclock to 4.3 ghz and it seems everything I do with respect to changing the Vcore voltages gives me a BSOD. Also, to OC these chips, am I supposed to be increasing the Turbo Ratios (stock @ 38) or the CPU Clock Ratio (stock @ 34)... IE., if I want 4.3, up all the turbo ratios to 43? PLEASE HELP =D thank youuu

cpuz?
What are the settings in the bios?

Download cpuz and that will be the accurate voltage

CPU-Z doesn't display the VCore on Gigabyte Z68's and instead shows the VCCIO.

VID does not equal the effective voltage.. when will people learn. RealTemp and CoreTemp don't display the effective voltage obviously. EasyTune and TouchBios are accurate and RealTemp/CoreTemp are simply displaying the voltage identifier.

How do I overclock on this board? Do I adjust the CPU Clock (34) or the Turbo Ratio number?

I'd use the Turbo Ratio.

So from what I've read so far, all I have to do is up the turbo ratio to say 42 for 4.2 ghz and see if it passes prime95 and IBT, if it BSODS, up the voltage increment by increment until it gets stable? Do I leave everything else on auto as it is right now?
