Macbook Pro Unibody Keyboards

Hey guys,

Basically, a couple of months ago i had one of my friends spill something on my MBP.

Fortunately i managed to keep (almost)everything alive - taking it apart and then cleaning with alcohol.

The problem is the keyboard backlight wasn't salvageable and the keyboard, although working just doesn't feel right.

However, it seems almost impossible to find any replacements for the 13" (UK) mid 2010 a1278 Unibodys. Although, i see quite a few around for the 15,17 inch models.

Do you guys know if the keyboards/backlights from the different sizes are compatible? From the outside they appear to be the same, as the larger macbooks aquire more space for the speakers.

Having never had the chance to test, i wondered if anybody else knew.

Thanks

I'm fairly certain that the size of the keyboard is the same for all three model sizes. Only in the 11" MBA is the keyboard slightly smaller.

Yes the 15 will fit yours as you say they acquire more space for the speakers.
