I have hungry mouths to feed and a mortgage to pay too, but if me and my co-workers are being abused at my workplace, to the point that some are committing suicide, you're damn right I'll leave!
And yes, I know that the situation there isn't equal to the situation in the US. Job opportunities are probably scarcer. But I would find some way to make it work. Probably by starting with not getting a mortgage or hungry mouths to feed until I had saved enough to buy a residence outright and pay for the hungry mouths for years to come should I find myself without a job.
There's a little something called "self responsibility" that seems to be lost among today's young people. It isn't the government's responsibility to provide for you. It isn't Foxconn's responsibility to provide for you. It is YOUR responsibility to provide for you and your family. If you can't do that, then you have no one to blame but yourself.

The more capitalist a society is, the harder this issue will tear up society. It's actually not an issue at all, it's only an issue if you're obsessed with growth and productivity like most of the world is. A society that has hyper efficient production from technology, non-consumer oriented culture, and spreads the wealth to the population sounds like the best scenario for a future society imo.
Yep, efficiency is an awful, awful thing. We should go back to walking on foot everywhere, and farming gardens in our backyard with hoes and pickaxes.
Spreading the wealth will never work. People are and always will be greedy. As much as it SOUNDS good, it just won't happen. If you tried it, people would become complacent with laziness and non-productivity, until the whole system collapsed. The next best thing is capitalism, because it captures people's selfishness to increase productivity, innovation, and efficiency.
