Opinions on my new Build - Page 2

Power Supply
Do you plan on going SLI? If so then the 850 is fine, if not then drop it down to a 650.

RAM
Is there a reason for getting that much RAM? You don't need more then 4gb for gaming but since RAM is so cheap 2x4gb are perfect.

Hard Drives
Having a 3tb drive as your main drive is not a great idea. Those are meant for storage. As previously stated I would go with the Samsung F3 1tb. If you need more then 1tb then get another one and go for RAID 0 for amazing performance.

CPU
Are you doing anything specific like video encoding and stuff that will actually use the extra threads? If you are just gaming go with the 2500K because it will perform the same as the 2600K when it comes to gaming.

PSU
Drop down to quality psu that's around 650w. Check here for a list of quality PSU's: http://www.overclock.net/power-suppl...-supplies.html

CPU
Get a 2500k instead.

RAM
Get rid of half of the RAM. PC3 12800 (DDR3-1600) RAM should be a bit faster.

HDD
Get a 1TB drive at the most. A Samsung Spinpoint F3 or a Western Digital Caviar Black would be good.
Samsung:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...f3%20spinpoint
Western Digital:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136533 $10 off w/ promo code EMCKCHD27, ends 8/1

MOBO
Also, are you sure you're going to use most if not all of the features that board has? If not, you could drop down to a cheaper board.

Other: Please read.
Buying a Phantom? Good choice. Send NZXT support a message here: http://www.nzxt.com/new/support.php For the drop down bars select: Crafted, Replacement parts, Phantom etc. You know the rest. Tell them that you bought a Phantom & that you need the rest of the fans that weren't included. They'll email you back, & ask for an invoice. You send them the invoice & you get free fans.

HDD - If you need a lot of space, just get 2x 1TB Spinpoint F3's and throw them in RAID0

RAM - 16GB is overkill for 90% of people, and if you are only going to be gaming, 8GB is insane overkill. If you are strictly gaming, get 4GB. If you'll be gaming heavily (multiple games open simultaneously and some editing/rendering, get 8GB.

PSU - Overkill. I'm not sure how much power you'll need with the 580, but I do know 850w is too much for what you have, unless you plan on SLI'ing

CPU - Again, if you will be strictly gaming, drop down to a 2500k. You'll save yourself $100, and games dont take advantage of hyper-threading anyways

All right as most of the peoples advices
I'll switch the pc parts to those below

CPU - i7 2500k
Memory ram - Corsair Dominator 6GB (2GBx3) DDR3-2000 PC3-16000 + Airflow
HDD - 2 1TB Seagate 7200rpm 64mb (1TB isn't enough )
Power Supply - AX750 80PLUS Gold

How about theses parts?

About CPU Cooler H100 well i still didn't figure how that big thing gonna set in my pc Case , it has to be a specific pc case? because on NZXT Phantom i dont think that big thing gonna fit
And memory rams speed 16000,10666,12000 have difference or not much?

Thanks everyone for the replies

You can't use triple channel RAM with 1155. You'll need to use dual, so get either 4GB or 8GB.

About the RAM speed, just get 1600. For CAS, it really doesn't matter, speed difference between 9 and 7 is literally in nanoseconds.

The PSU is still about "200W" to "250W" of overkill if you never SLI the 580. Plus, it's overkill on quality unless you plan on doing some very extreme overclocking. So if you want to do more of an average overclock (like let's say 4.7 to maybe 4.9GHz, depending on what your CPU will be capable of), then the only benefit of the AX series is the completely full modularity.

Regarding the memory: don't go with a triple channel kit. Sandy Bridge needs dual channel (check out the slots on any 1155 motherboard).

I think everyone has said it but go with the i5 2500k, you do not need hyper threading for gaming and it is a small performance up to 2600k with a huge gap in price. Also, 16 bg of Ram? That is a ton...usually only need 4gb for gaming unless you plan on hosting servers and such. I say go with a 650w powersupply, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139012. Also you are spending way to much on that cpu cooler. I say go for a hyper 212+ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103065. Also for the case, I would find one that has more fans and a little cheaper if you want to add more to your gpu or whatever. For the MOBO unless you plan on doing intense video editing oc then that price of MOBO is unnecessary. Go with p67 pro or asrock.

Hope this helps.

As TwoCables said, get a 2 x 4GB ram kit. If you use two sticks of ram, install them into slots #2 & #4 otherwise your PC will probably not boot up. There is some difference between ram speeds, but not much. I think most SB users run 1600 MHz ram, though. I know that from 1600 MHz to 1866 MHz there is some minute difference but beyond that the returns are ever diminishing.

As for the H100, the radiator should fit under the top fans of the Phantom, I know some people have done that before, it should be a pretty simple mod. Try googling it.
