D14 not so great

just got my D14 today very disappointing temps are only a 3-5C lower then my Noctua U12P tried reseating 3 times same results should of waited for the h100

3-5C lower is 3-5C lower. You will get diminishing returns with air coolers as you spend more and more money- there's only so much one can innovate with heatsink fans. The H100 should only be another 2-3C better than the D14 for $50 more. So you got a good deal. If you want really low temperatures pay the premium and go to water.

Push the overclock higher, you will see more than 10c of difference...

The D14 is one of the best coolers you can buy (even though its huge and ugly). I'd definitely go for an H80/100 over it though just because of space savings...

im thinking of mounting it a diffrent way atm its mounted to blow air out the back
